Don for Model Number MCE8000AYW My dryer, in both timed and sensor modes, does heat up and will progress through the programs (no fault codes) but it doesn't seem that it gets as hot as it used to (it is 13 years old now). Anyway I'm checking the thermistor resistance (part number 53-4281) and get a reading of 8.8K ohms. Is this thermistor still good? If so, might the heating coil at issue?
Answer Don, This thermistor should have a resistance of 10K ohms of resistance at 77 degrees and will have a plus or minus 10 percent. It sounds like the thermistor may be the issue as it sounds like a low rating. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 3, 2017
