Phil for Model Number 106.52709100 Freezer cold; refrig warm. I'm assuming the control board regulates temperature in the refrigerator using the thermistor sensor and diffuser (a/k/a vent damper). If the thermistor is ok, then possibly either the control board (which the thermistor connects to, via the wiring harness), or the diffuser could be bad. Is this a good assumption; and how to check the vent damper? Is the vent damper controlled electrically? And thanks for running, in my opinion, THE best site for appliance repair & parts.
Answer Hello Phil. Is there any frost build up on the back wall of the freezer? If so, you could have a defrost problem. To check the thermister, you will need to ohm it out. Here is a chart to go by. Thermistor Temperature Resistance 77°F..................10,000 ohms 36°F..................29,500 ohms 0°F....................86,300 ohms You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
