Jay for Model Number WRT519SZDT02 Refrigerator temperature is freezing food. Raised the temperature to a warmer setting without success. Tried the glass of water test and temperature is in the 30's. Thermistor replacement?
Answer Jay, at the recommended setting the refrigerator should be at 37°F which the thermistor W11438736 should measure 8.8K Ohms. If it is reaching 32°F and the thermistor does not measure 22.7K Ohms, the thermistor would be the cause of failure. If the measurement is within 10% of what it should be, then the main control W11436574 would be the likely cause of failure. Read More...
