Bruce for Model Number KGST307GB50 the range has several problems and the circuit board may have to be replaced...1st problem.....the oven takes forever to reach the temperature programmed. Set it for 400 degrees on Convection Bake it took 38 minutes. Sometimes it will stop at 355 degrees and go no further. Have cleaned temp sensor and it ohmed out at a little over 1K. 2nd problem...the burners snap (specifically the left front) when turning on the gas to light the burner. Have cleaned relay which eliminates the problem but in a week the snapping returns. 3rd problem....when the weather is humid the stove will start itself so I unplug it. When you plug in the stove the "Probe" icon will display and the stove cannot be programmed to do anything. Temporary fix is to turn off the AC. Help!
Answer Hello Bruce, This sounds like you definitely have at least two issues. The surface burners sparking without turning on a surface burner is the indication of a bad Start Switch WP9751325. This will also make the surface burner ignitors spark during cooking. The other issue I believe you have is the Electronic Oven Control 3191106. This is going to be a bit more of a headache than the start switches since it is no longer available. You need to do an online search for a company that rebuilds these boards such as corecentrics. The last issue I need to mention is the meat probe jack 4173575 in the bake compartment. When moisture gets in these, it will make the "probe" fault go off. Read More...
