Gerry S for Model Number kenmore dryer model 86983100 This dryer has 2 cycling thermostats, one inside the other. The outer one is made of black composite material. FSP #61894. What is its purpose and how does it work. I get a high resistance reading across the terminals, 73800 ohms. What is the temperature range?

If you are getting 73K ohms from this thermostat then it is faulty. The resistance should be between 3 and 4K ohms. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 1, 2014
