Grandpappyc for Model Number DE7500 I am having problem that the timer won't run in auto. I believe it is the cycling thermostat. An answer says to check for continuity on "the two lower wires". Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. There is a purple & jumped to another terminal, white w/red, light blue and orange. A wiring diagram or a pinout for the thermostat would be awesome.
Answer GrandPappyC, the orange wire running from the timer to the cycling thermostat would need to be tested for continuity and inspected for a loose connection. If the wire is good, the most likely cause of failure would be the cycling thermostat WP307249. The orange wired terminal is normally open and closes when the heat is cycled off during operation, allowing voltage to go to the timer. In this case, the contact is likely not closing properly.
