Answer Joseph, No, the cycling thermostat is not a likely culprit. The thermostat controls the power to the ice maker motor, when the 14 dgrs. is reached, the thermostat closes and allows power to the motor and the ice maker cycles and dumps the cubes in the ice bin. Water dripping into the ice maker and bin is usually due to a "seaping" water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator. Read More...
