Mathew for Model Number KitchenAid Mod. KTRS22MDWH01 My refrigerator is in working , the top is the freezer and the bottom to keep kooling items, that one is freezing the items in one to two days when the new items is kept in side. why it happens is it the problem of thermostat, what is your suggestion, can i chnage any parts or buy new one, what u suggest. Answer Matthew, It sounds like you may have a defrost issue. The part number you supplied, has nothing to do with your complaint. First thing to do is open the freezer door and check the back wall of the compartment for a build up of frost or ice on the wall. Carefully, press in on the back wall and listen for a crackling noise, there could be a build up of ice on the evaporator, restricting the air flow. You can also remove the back wall, and de ice the evaporator with a hair dryer or heat gun(on the low heat setting), and then let us know what you find, so we can assist you from there.
