Dee for Model Number WFG110AVQO My Whirlpool gas range oven (just 1 1/2 years old) no longer works. At first, the oven would heat up. It would come up to temperature and then it would not heat up again while I was trying to bake cookies. So of course, it took twice as long for me to bake the cookies and I had to keep adjusting the temp to get it to bake. Now, the oven will not heat up at all. Would this be the thermostat? Thanks for your help, Dee
Answer Dee, You will want to check the oven ignitor to make sure that it is not broken and make sure that it is drawing 3.2 to 3.6 amps. If it is not coming on and the ignitor is intact then you would want to replace the thermostat. If cracked or broken or it is coming on and the amp draw is not between 3.2 to 3.6 amps then you would need to replace the ignitor. Read More...
