John for Model Number LE8457W my electric dryer doesn't heat up enough to dry the clothes. i have to run it twice to get them dry. i thouroughly cleaned the inside and the venting. The airflow is quite strong. i put a temperature probe in the drum and monitored it for a full cycle and the temp. never gets above 125 degrees even towards the end of the cycle. the heating coil appears to stay off longer than on. it glows a nice bright red when it is on. i tested the high limit, thermo fuse and cycling thermostat and they all have continuity. the cycling thermostat says 135 degrees+/-15. I want to fix it but i am about to give up and get a new dryer. i don't want to though. any ideas?
Answer John, Based on this information, You will want to make sure that the blower wheel is not clogged with lint and if it is clear then you would be looking at a bad cycling thermostat. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 15, 2013
