Ed for Model Number lnc7745a71 dryer was operating fine then stopped running in middle of cycle. the timer is running when in lower position of dial only. checked power throughout and current is there. the drum will not turn in any position.
Answer Hello Ed. You will need to test the thermal fuse LA-1053 on the side if the heater housing. It should read closed for continuity. If it is open, you will need to replace the kit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More... Answer Ed, are you sure you have 240 VAC at the terminal block, on the back of the dryer ? Since the timer is running, the thermal fuse is OK, as well as other components, but if the motor has no voltage , and doesn't run, the dryer won't heat, and the timer won't advance on the other selections. The power cord and terminal block, is the best place to start. Good Luck. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 5, 2011
