William for Model Number AGD4475TQ1 Hello I have an Admiral AGD4475TQ1 gas dryer. It does not start when I press the start button. I have tested for input voltage from the wall plug (OK) and, also found 120 volts on the blue wire and orange wire of the timer (part W10185971 E) to ground. I have tested the start switch and door switch which show continuity when pressed. I have test the thermal fuse for continuity, the thermostat, the high limit thermostat, and thermal cut off switch; they all test good. I tested from the red wire (A) to the white wire with black stripe (F), and found no voltage. Is the Invensys (W10185971 E) Timer bad? Frustrated
Answer Hello William. If the thermal fuse is good, then check the door switch. If it is good, then you trace power and see where your losing it at. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
