Restore accurate cycle control with this washer timer. It sequences power to the drive motor, pump, and water inlet valves so the machine fills, washes, drains, and spins at the proper times.

  • Advances the cycle through fill, wash, rinse, drain, and spin stages
  • Sends power to the motor, pump, and inlet valves in the correct order and duration
  • Safe symptoms: washer won't start, won't advance, stops mid-cycle, runs indefinitely, or skips rinse/spin
  • Helps when cycles stall or the dial turns without moving the cycle forward
What's included: Timer assembly. Install notes:
  • Unplug the washer before servicing
  • Open the control console to access the timer; note or photograph wiring
  • Transfer wires one at a time to matching terminals on the new timer
  • Reuse your existing knob/dial and mounting hardware; align the timer shaft before tightening

Hello Brian. The first thing you will test for is power to the unit. Next you will test for power going to the water valve. If there is power there and the unit does not fill, you will need to replace the water valve. If there is no power to the water valve, then you will test the pressure switch on the unit. If there is no power to the violet wire of the pressure switch, then you will need to replace the timer. Make sure you do all these test with the timer turned on in a fill position. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
