Bob for Model Number WED5600SQ0 When I set the timer on the energy preferred cycle and push the start button, the dryer starts for a second and then stops. The timed cycles work o.k. Do I need to replace the timer or is there something else that is causing this malfunction?
Answer Hello Bob. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 23, 2012
