Answer Sharon, you may have a defective element, terminal block, (the part the element plugs into), or a defective infinite switch. Pull the element out of the terminal block and see if the contacts look burned, if they are, you probably can replace the terminal block and element and it will work ok. If you have a multimeter and can check voltage, remove the element, set your meter to check for 240 volts A/C. Turn the switch on and put the two leads into the terminal block and see if there is 240 volts, if no voltage, replace the infinite switch. Read More...
