John for Model Number 42822203 kenmore H3 I have read other peoples questions, and i still dont seem to have this correct. When My kenmore H3 washer goes into a spin it sounds like its taking off. yes a loud bass sound. now i read replace this replace that, if i order a part it may not be that part it may be another, taking the washer apart is alot of work, and once apart i would need to know where i can go get the part, around where i live there is no where i would need to order it. so with this in mind. Which direction do i go? Keep in mind i am not made of money and do not want to order more then one part unless necessary. I am an electrician and I have worked on some of these washers and dryers, so i dont need someone to come out do it i just need to know what am i looking for as far as sound and or vibrations ETC again it sounds like a jet taking off, and its real loud only on the spin.
Answer The sound you are describing is typically the bearings in the rear tub. I can't say 100% for sure but that is the area I would look at first.
