Hankr for Model Number WFW8410SW01 1 repair tech diagnosed the cause of knock on high speed spin as a bad shock & another said the spider on the inner tub was bad. I don't feel any play on the pulley at the back of the outer tub. The shocks seem a little sloppy but seem all the same. How can I determine the cause of the knock?
Answer Hello Hankr. Pull the unit out and remove the back access panel on the unit. Then, turn the unit on and let it run. Check and see if the noise is coming from the pulley or the shocks. You should be able to determine this being behind the unit with that cover off the unit. Then you can determine if it is the bearings and spider assembly or the shocks. Read More...
