Sandy for Model Number Amana side by side model SMD22TBW I believe the cold water line from the bottom of the freezer door to the dispenser clogged or broken as I am getting small water puddles on floor under the freezer door and water is not making it to the dispenser. Water is coming out tube disconnected at bottom of door when lever is pushed on door. Can the 1/4" plastic tubing be pulled out after taking the dispenser door off without taking the inside panel off of the freezer door or do I need to tie the replacement line to the old one before I pull it out?
Answer Hello Sandy. Usually water under the freezer door is from the drain being clogged in the unit. You need to check the drain before you try replacing the hose in the door. Ice in the bottom of the freezer floor is a good sign of a clogged drain. Here is a link to our Repair Forum, this is a free service to our customers.
