Hello Mel. The F1 error is a difficult problem to pin down but most times it means the central control needs to be replaced. The F1 is a communication error that occurs when the central control and motor control are not talking to each other. Between the two is the door latch assembly which might also be at fault. Check and make sure the connections are good on the motor control and the central control. If so, you will need to replace the central control unit WPW10525353. Hope this helps.
