This is a washing machine control board. It is also known as the mainboard or motherboard and manages the timing of the washing machine. This part also makes sure all proper washer functions are carried out when appropriate. The control board controls the drive motor, fill valves, and drain pump. If this part is damaged, button presses may not work. The washing machine may not start or complete certain cycles. If the control board is damaged or non-functioning, it will need to be replaced. However, before starting, make sure the washing machine is disconnected from power. The water supply should also be shut off. Pull the washing machine away from the wall and take off the control knob before removing the back panel. Take out the control board and reconnect the wires to the new component before reassembly. The control board has been created to be compatible with Kenmore washing machines. It's directly sourced from the manufacturer as a genuine OEM replacement part. This component is sold individually.

Rocki for Model Number 110.47512600

In my previous question, I botched the model number... it is 110.47512600. I bit the bullet and bought the expensive electronic control board and installed it, but I'm still getting F01 error code when any wash cycle gets to the drain portion. Tub will partially drain, but then gives F01 and will not complete cycle. Putting it on rinse/drain & spin , it will mostly drain, but still gives an F01 at the drain portion of the cycle. Above was done with a partial load of clothes; they did not spin out. I ran the rinse/drain & spin cycle with an empty tub and it completed the cycle without giving the F01 error code. I put the wet clothes from the previous attempt back in the tub and ran the rinse/drain & spin cycle. This time, it started the cycle, at 16 minutes remaining on the cycle, it did drain. At about 14 minutes in the cycle, when it started to spin, I got the F01 error. Is there some sort of sensor that would look for a slight imbalance in the spin and generate an F01? Apparently a load of wet clothes causes the problem, and prevents the tub from spinning them out. I had previously cleaned out the drain pump sump (big white plug) and blew out the drain hose; the fact that the drain seemed to work when I observed this last trial seems to indicate that the drain portion is OK. The problem comes when the spin tries to start. I get the F01 and a tub full of heavy, wet clothes that weren't spun out. Any ideas on what's going on? The new control board cost about 1/3 the cost of a new washer, and if I need a repair call and additional parts the cost would get quickly out of hand. HELP!!

Answer

Rocki, Check the drain to make sure that it is not clogged as this would be the most likely cause of the issue. If the unit is taking too long to drain it will cause an F01 error.
