Alan for Model Number Maytag LAT9406AAE I have a couple of related questions: The washer will fill with water but will not agitate. The plunger doesn't seem to operate properly. I removed the lid switch. If I hold the switch button manually, I can get the machine to spin and rinse but not agitate. Is this a fault in the switch? The unbalance level and plunger assembly looks like the one pictured (#30 in the drawing). This is part AP4026431. The old switch appears to be the same as part AP4008646 (#15 in the drawing). But I do not see where the plunger that is part of that kit would go. Will parts AP4026431 and AP4008646 work together without the long separate plunger?
