Moe for Model Number WFG371LVB1 I have a Whirlpool Gas Range model#WFG371LVB1 when I turn on the oven everything works fine, but only stays on for a short time and then shuts off. I checked the safety valve for continuity and my meter didn't make any noise. It was hard to get to the valve terminals, I took the drawer off to test it.
Answer Moe, You will want to check the resistance of the oven safety valve. The resistance should be 216 ohms from bake to common (which is the center terminal) and broil to common.
