Jan for Model Number 9761959 My Whirlpool Gas Range with E4 F3 for the sensor. I have replaced the sensor and still the same. Then I replaced Gas Valve and it started working for few years and again E4 F3. So, I replaced Gas Valve again its start working again for another few years and now its back again. What do you think the main issue is with this range? Model SF195LEKQ.
Answer Hello Jan, The first thing I would do is chase the entire wiring harness to ensure no wires can contact one another. Since the control is popping the wrong fault code, I suspect that if no cross circuits are possible in the harness, the controls' self-diagnostic circuit is mal-functioning. The most common cause for control failure is corrosion on connectors. Therefore, disconnecting and reconnecting wires will be necessary throughout test procedures. Check all connections before replacing components, looking for broken or loose wires, failed terminals, or wires not pressed into connectors far enough. It may not be necessary to replace the control since the unit seems to operate correctly unit a code comes up but the issue can progress and get worse with time. Read More...
