Paul for Model Number SF362LXSB0 On my Whirlpool range when turned to bake I hear the solenoid go twice. When turned to broil I hear nothing from the solenoid. I get continuity on the bake side but none on the broil side. I need a new valve don't I?
Answer Paul, yes, sounds like you do need a gas valve/regulator. When you place your meter leads across the center terminal, and each outside terminal you should have a resistance of 216 ohms resistance on each test. With the wires attached to the terminals, you should have a DC Volt reading of 8 to 18 VDC from the DSI spark module, when the oven is attempting to ignite. Read More...
