Guenthernet for Model Number GS460LEKT0 My gas range is 14 years old and converted to work with LPG. I have noticed a gas smell coming from the drawer/oven. Had the LPG tank company here. Passed line pressure test. Still there is a noticeable smell. The tech was able to detect that it comes out of the combo control unit/safety valve which is one part in this model. It doesn't have the little white cap that's shown in the product pics on your website for the Valve Gas (whirlpool-valve-gas-w10293048). Precisely that spot appears to be the leak. Is this a DIY job if I get the part for someone very handy, but no experience with gas lines? Is there any bit of the LPG conversion that is going on in this unit, too, that I would need to carry over if I inserted the new part? Worth it in a 14yo appliance? Thanks!!
Answer Hello Guenthernet. You will need to order WPW10293048 for the gas valve needed. It does have to be converted over to LP gas. These are not real easy to replace, but can be done with time. Make sure you check for leaks after replacing the parts on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, March 1, 2016
