Tom for Model Number wpw10293048 gas safety valve How to test valve. Should the Oven be plugged in and turned on? Voltmeter between center and outer wires check for continuity and the buzzer beeps should I be checking for ohms ? Did continuity beep check with oven unplugged and wires pulled off the gas valve has contiuity but can it still be bad (gas valve)??
Answer Tom, You will disconnect the wires from the oven safety valve and check from either of the outer terminals to the inner terminals. There should be a resistance of 216 ohms across each of the connections from outer to inner. If not correct then the part is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
