Marvin for Model Number Whirlpool GFG471LVS0 I am converting my Whirlpool GFG471LVS0 range from natural to lp gas. I purchased Gas Conversion Kit WPW10170516 which I thought would provide everything I need. However, there were no oven orifice hoods included with the kit. I removed my bake burner orifice hood (which is stamped #"49-56") and the oven burner orifice hood (which is stamped #53). Quests: 1) If I can use my #49-56 hood for lp gas how do I adjust it ? 2) How far open do I set the air shutter? and 3) Must I replace the #53 orifice hood with a "090" hood (P/N WPW10400498)? 4) How far open do I set that air shutter?
Answer Marvin, For converting the oven you would tighten the orifices down to snug and open the air shutters all the way. You may need to adjust the air shutter to get proper flame but start in the full open position. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 7, 2019
