Angela for Model Number SF315PEMQ1 My oven displays 350 degress at start, but it takes 10 to 15 minutes for it to preheat. The temperture is not hot, its warm. Whatever I set the temperature to it starts over counting down for pre-heating, then sometimes it takes a long time for me to hear the ignition, mostly when it is set at a high temperature. Sometimes I smell gas while it is trying to heat up. It took me 3 hours to bake a 9 inch pan of cornbread once. I played with the temperature control settings after trying to get the oven hot. Sometimes I here the flames come on, but most of the time not. Why does it do that? I have also changed the calibration setting on the clock. It's up to 30 level on the display panel.
Answer Hello Angela, The problem you are describing sounds like a weak ignitor W10918546. You should also inspect the burner 98004314 as they give a lot of problems when they get old, corroded, and rusty. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, May 18, 2012
