Bud for Model Number SF369LEPS2 My gas oven will not come on. I don't here the ignitor try to light it as normal. The stovetop works fine. I called a repair company to look at it and at a glance he said it was the gas valve part # W10293048. Could it be the valve and not the ignitor?
Answer Hello Bud, You can check your solenoid on the gas valve for resistance. You should have 216 ohms from broil to common and from bake to common. If you do not have 216 ohms resistance then you have bad gas valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
