Brent for Model Number GS440LEMQ0 Whirlpool Accubake Gold gas oven has power at control panel and upper burners work just fine but neither the bake or broil burners fire. Not hearing or smelling gas, not hearing igniter spark after turning on Bake or Broil. Have replaced one igniter and problem still persists. Should I go with the gas valve next?
Answer Hello Brent, Based on the information provided, you would want to check the solenoid on the gas valve WPW10293048. You should have 216 ohms resistance from Broil to common and bake to common. If you are not getting proper resistance then you would need to replace the valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
