Vino for Model Number Whirpool My ovens only work if one burner is on ... If I only turn on the oven, the igniter tries for a few times then stops, same time the flame is on same is not. Know if one burner is on before starting oven it runs fine. My ?s on the valve are about 196 on both leads My igniter seems to me that runs too short and that gas has not arrive at the igniter yet. Answer Vino, The resistance of the gas valve coils should be 215 ohms resistance (+/- 10 %), from the post, your valve is electrically OK. Needing to open a burner valve, in order for the oven to ignite, would indicate a mechanical malfunction in the gas valve WPW10293048, or a gas supply pressure or flow issue.
