Michael Judd for Model Number MZD2766GEB Water dispenser works half the time, ice maker works fine. Replaced micro switch, control board, touch pad board, and water inlet valve. Any ideas? Started messing up when main water shut of to house was replaced. Sometimes when the water dispenser is activated nothing happens then you hear a hum and water starts to flow.
Answer Michael, you're on track. Replacing both valves would be an even better idea 12001892 and 12001892. When they replaced the water shut off, the debris and sediment broke loose and has clogged the solenoid in the valve(s), and they won't equalize properly. You should "flush the water supply tube for a few minutes, before you attach it to the new valve, and then dispense at least a gallon of water through the dispenser, to flush out any residual air or debris, that may be in the water system.
