This water inlet valve regulates the flow of water into the washer tub and dispenser compartments. When it wears or sticks, the machine may fill improperly or at the wrong times; replacing it restores controlled filling and dispensing. What it does:

• Directs hot/cold water to the tub and dispenser channels as selected by the control.
• Uses four solenoids to open/close individual water paths during fill and rinse.
