Steve for Model Number JDB4950AWP Jenn-air Dishwasher The dishwasher stopped filling up with water last week. I replaced the water inlet valve this morning and the unit is still not getting water delivered to it. I can feel the inlet valve click on but no water flowing into to the unit. I did check the inlet water valve water supply hose to insure water was running into the valve and that checked out. So the problem seems to be from the valve to the injection hose. Any ideas or help will be appreciated.
Answer Hello Steve, You can use a short piece of hose to allow you to blow through the injector hose and injector. The only problem these normally give is if a mouse chews through it and the water goes into the floor. I would try dis-connecting the outlet side of the water valve and see if it allows water to pass. It is much more likely to get a mechanically defective water valve than the injector stopping up. Be very careful doing this because water and electricity can create a dangerous situation. I would hold the valve over a cake pan or equivalent, (a non-conductive pan would be safer), and make sure it passes water when energized. Read More...
