Rich22 for Model Number GLD4406R00BB D/W about 3 yrs old But just installed 2/2015. Water was not entering machine. I have power to water valve and ohms within range. So I removed to see if screen was clogged. No. So i removed the screen (appeared to have a suction on it during removal) inside to me appears to be a restrictor. Piece had a round base with a tube and rubber flat washer/valve. Tube was facing water inlet side. To me it looked backward b/c base had grooves in the side that rubber washer would close from water pressure. I flipped this part around and re-install. Now water does enter into the system. My concern is if water entering to fast b/c i seen a little wet spot by inlet funnel on the side of D/W. So I don't know if you can answer this question unless you have an old part to look into it. Do you know which way this restrictor valve should face? the Tube facing the inlet side or toward the interior of the valve? I am ready to pull and put it back the way it was to see if it works now. But i would like to know the answer - could the valve been improperly assembled.
Answer Rich22, The way that the part was in place previously would be the correct way for it to be installed. You will want to reverse it and if it is not putting water into the unit then the valve is sticking and would be faulty. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, March 5, 2015
