Megale B. I have a GE profile dishwasher that wasn't getting enough water. I changed the water valve and there was no difference in the water level. I removed the restrictor inside the inlet of the valve and it fills up as it should. Will this hurt the valve or cause it to leak?
Answer Hello Megale, If you have removed the screen and this affected the water fill you should check the water pressure to the dishwasher. It sounds like you have a low water pressure situation causing this issue. The screens should never be removed from the water valve since this can allow debris from the water supply to corrupt the valve seal and create the possibility of an overfill which could potentially cause water damage to the home. You should increase the water pressure to the unit and change the water valve to correct the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, February 16, 2019
