Michael for Model Number Maytag MDB7130AWS I have a Maytag built-in dishwasher that is about 8 years old. After the entire cycle has completed, we open the door only to find that the dishes do not appear to be rinsed. The soap dispenser is open but some of the soap is on or running down the door. I also took the dishwasher's lower wash arm apart down to the pump filter and cleaned out some left over food residue. Also checked that the float was clear and working. Thanks in advance.
Answer Hello Michael. You will need to check the float switch and make sure it is moving freely up and down. Check the switch as well and make sure it reads correctly. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html If it is working properly, then you will need to check and see what the water level is inside the dishwasher. It should fill near the bottom of the heating element. If it is low, you may need to replace the water valve. Hope this helps. Read More...
