Dave for Model Number MDB4000AWB Hi, I am troubleshooting a dishwasher. No water is the symptome. I have verified the float switch, and bought a new water solenoid. I am still not getting water. I am thinking i might have the solenoid wired wrong. There is NO marking on the solenoid. Is there any color coding diagram available?? Thanks Dave
Answer Hello Dave. You will need to test and see if the water valve is getting power at the start of the cycle. If not, then the float switch WP99002560 is bad or the timer 12001533 is bad. If there is power coming to the float switch, but not to the valve, the switch is bad. If there is no power at the float switch, you will need to replace the timer. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, May 6, 2011
