Terry K for Model Number kuds301xbl I am getting excessive amount of moisture out of the vent (Part Number: AP6021947). Could it be a problem with the vent itself? I had the outer door cover off this weekend and the sound dampening material was soaked at the bottom. I had to replace my control panel once already because of the water vapor that travels upward into it. I noticed that the vent looks like it could possibly have an extension snapped onto it. I am assuming that it be a different model for that piece but, if I were to extend that vent line down it would get he moisture away from my electronics. Any advice would be appreciated.
Answer Terry, With experiencing moisture between the inner and outer door panels or on the cabinets around the air inlet area of the outer door panel located near the top left side of the panel, verify that the vent damper is closing by using the service diagnostic routine. The procedure is located in the product tech sheet. Verify that wax motor seal and vent bezel seal are not pinched or missing. Verify there is no leaks around the vent bezel seal allowing moisture past the bezel and into the door panel area. Verify that vent fan motor is operating by using the service diagnostic routine.
