Jim for Model Number whirlpool wgd5840swo When i turn the dryers on the flame comes on for 2 minutes then goes off. Then little later a glow flame comes on for 1 minute then goes out. What part do I need a burner or a flame sensor or what.
Answer Hello Jim, You may want to check your venting. Since the unit is lighting then shutting off that would indicate that it is getting too hot. Check the vent from the blower wheel all the way to the outside of home to make sure that the ven it clear. You could disconnect the vent behind unit and run after you check the blower wheel and venting in unit and see if it works. If it does this means that you have clogged vent. Read More...
