Jd for Model Number MEDC200XW1 (279838) Maytag dryer - ordered new heating element - the existing wire connectors do not match the connectors in the video - everything else the same, process simple - still no heat. Did I order wrong replacement part?
Answer Hello JD. No you ordered the correct element for your model number. Make sure you have it wired right. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity.
