Pablo for Model Number Kenmore 600 series Dryer My dryer will sometimes run and it will not dry the clothes. I noticed that it will not heat up at times. When i open the dryer door and I have it on High heat, the clothes are cold or still damp? Any suggetions would be really appreciated.
Answer Hello Pablo, This sounds like a ducting issue. If the duct is restricted, crimped, or excessively long and complicated, the back pressure will cause the heat, lint, and moisture to blow past the felts seals back into the cabinet and this will kick off the thermostats. This will cause the complaint you have. If it heats sometimes, the heating circuit is working and the duct should be corrected to the manufacturers' specifications. Read More...
