Tommy for Model Number GEX9868JQ0 My dryer stopped heating up, so I bought the heating element and replaced that. The instructions on your website mention/show three wires connecting to the lower part of it. However, when I opened up the back to get to it, my dryer only has two wires connected to it. The top wire and the right wire (right, if you were looking at the hook ups straight on, or you could say the wire closest to you.) What is this missing wire for? I looked around in the cabinet and didn't see any other wires that could be hooked up to it. I went ahead and hooked the new element up and there is still no heat. Is this missing wire the problem? or what else could it be? I saw there were mention about the thermal fuse things, but your instructions for that include using that missing wire to hook up the new designed piece... Not sure what to do now.. Thanks for any help...
Answer Tommy, With this heating element you would just connect the same as the original. There are only two terminals on the heater and you would connect the way the original is connected. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 22, 2013
