Rowdy Y for Model Number eed4300sqo Lately my dryer seems to pull a lot of electricity when I use it and then pops my screw-in 30 amp fuse in my breaker box. Dryer continues to run but with no heat. I replace the fuse and all returns to normal for a few more dryer loads, then it occurs again. Dryer outlet vent clear, and taking the back panel and heat coils covers off, all clear there also but 3 of the 5 coils getting dark in color. see nothing else to comment on.
Answer Rowdy, You will want to pull the heating element out of the dryer and check for arch marks on the casing like the element grounding out. If this checks ok then you will want to check to make sure that the wiring in the unit is good and no shorts to ground. You will also want to have your home circuit tested as a weak circuit could also cause this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, May 22, 2013
