Phil for Model Number LTE5243DQ9 The dryer was not getting hot enough so I checked the element and found it was partially burned out. I found part of the element melted/shorted to the metal heat tube it gets installed in. The new element touches the side also when it is installed. That does not make sense to me that it touches the sides. Is that a design flaw? The machine is only a little over a year old. Thanks for your help. Phil
Answer Hello Phil. If installed properly, the element will not touch the sides of the heater box. If it does, you need to replace the box, it is warped. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, June 14, 2013
