This is a left hand auger assembly that is included with many snowblowers. The auger consists of several rotating blades that collect snow and move it through the augur housing to the chute. If the auger isn't turning and the left hand assembly needs to be replaced, it will require a 3/8 inch socket, a pair of needle-nose pliers, a ½ inch socket, and a grease pump. For the replacement, remove the auger mounts and disassemble the auger shaft transmission to release the auger shaft. Remove the broken or damaged left hand auger assembly after removing any spacers and bushings. Replace the part and reassemble all of the components on the snowblower. This is an authentic OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual component. The left hand auger assembly is created to be used with snowblowers made by Yard-Man, Craftsman, Huskee, Cub Cadet, MTD, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines.
This is a genuine OEM right-hand auger sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is designed for use on snowblowers and snow throwers. The augers on a snowblower are rotating blades responsible for accumulating snow and pushing it through the auger housing and into the chute to be dispersed. Over time and with repeated use, the auger may stop working correctly. If snow isn't coming out of the chute when used, the auger may be damaged and will not push the snow; when this happens, the auger should be replaced. The auger may be damaged due to hitting rocks and other debris while removing snow. Augers should be inspected regularly to check for broken or bent parts. A screwdriver and socket set is needed to remove and replace the auger. Snowblowers and snow throwers have a right, left, and sometimes middle auger. All augers should be inspected and replaced as needed. Wear gloves when changing the auger and make sure the machine has cooled down if recently used. This right-hand auger is made of metal with serrated edges; it is sold as an individual unit. This right-hand auger is compatible with snow blowers and snow throwers manufactured by Craftsman, Troy-Bilt, MTD, Yard Machines, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, and Husky.

The shear pin’s purpose is to stop the engine when it is broken. If the machinery hits something hard, the shear pin will break. This prevents injuries that could be fatal. If something large or small becomes clogged or jammed in the auger, the shear pin is meant to snap in half, rendering the auger useless. This happens once the auger reaches a certain point in pressure load, which also prevents damage to the rest of your equipment. The auger part of your machinery cannot turn without a shear pin. Since the purpose of the shear pin is to break on impact, it's a good idea to have several of these on hand for quick replacements. There’s nothing like having your equipment break down in the middle of a job. Repair is simple. Just remove the broken shear pin, line up the auger’s holes, and insert your new shear pin. Use the cotter pin to secure your shear pin. This genuine OEM auger shear pin works in conjunction with small engine equipment with augers made by Craftsman, Cub Cadet, MTD, Troy-Built, Yard Machines, and Yard-Man. This part is sold individually. Consider also ordering an MTD Pin-Bow Tie Cotter or retaining clip.
