The fuel filter on lawnmowers and lawn tractors provides the engine with protection from contaminants that could be in the fuel. If the fuel picks up debris, the filter prevents this debris from causing engine damage. The fuel filter also keeps debris from entering the fuel tank during operation. Fuel filters should be changed on a regular basis to ensure the engine remains protected. If the engine begins backfiring or won't start, check the fuel filter to see if it is clogged.Empty the fuel tank before replacing the fuel filter on the equipment. Locate the fuel filter inside the fuel tank or in line with the fuel lines. Remove the old filter and dispose of it. Install the new filter and put fresh fuel back into the fuel tank. Start the engine and check to make sure fuel is flowing correctly to ensure the filter was put back in place. This fuel filter is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced from the manufacturer for use on lawnmowers and lawn tractors. It is sold individually. This fuel filter is designed for use on lawn mowers and lawn tractors manufactured by Jonsered, Craftsman, Toro, and Cub Cadet.
This part is discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available for purchase.
This part is a genuine OEM replacement oil filter for gas-powered lawn mowers and lawn tractors. Inside of an engine, there are many small moving parts that constantly rub up against other parts. To keep the mechanics from scraping and creating friction, an engine uses oil for lubrication. This oil must remain clean, though, as dirty oil would create friction. To stay clean, an engine uses an oil filter to sieve out any unwanted gunk. After a long period of use, an oil filter will become clogged and block oil from passing through into the engine. This can cause the engine to seize up or overheat. Therefore, it's important to change out an engine's oil filter after every three to six months. This is an easy fix and should be done whenever the oil is changed. Simply unscrew the old filter and reattach the new filter. Be sure to drain any old oil before making the switch. This part is compatible with Briggs & Stratton and Toro lawn mowers and tractors. It ships individually and is sourced from the original manufacturer.
This is an oil filter that facilitates the removal of harmful contaminants from the engine oil. This part is designed to help maintain the optimum performance of an engine in compliance with the necessary EPA emissions regulations. It is recommended that the oil filter is replaced annually or every 100 hours. Remember to prepare something to catch the oil when replacing the oil filter. The old one will need to be unscrewed to replace it, but be sure to coat the seal of the new filter with oil before installing it. To ensure that the new oil filter is in place, make sure it touches the plate it seals against by giving the filter a firm turn to tighten it down. This replacement part is an individual genuine OEM part. It is compatible with small engines, lawnmowers, generators, snowblowers, and wood chippers from Toro, Lawn-Boy, Simplicity, Snapper, and Briggs & Stratton.
