The intake gasket on a carburetor serves an important function. It ensures there is no additional air getting into the carburetor. If a gasket on a carburetor is not working properly, it could allow for extra air and dirt to get in, which might cause engine performance issues.Over time, the gaskets will need to be replaced. They can dry, crack, and break over time. It is not a matter of whether they should be replaced, but when. Ideally, gaskets should be replaced whenever the carburetor is serviced. Check on the gaskets occasionally to ensure they are in good condition. This intake gasket is used on a wide range of lawn and garden machines including mowers, tillers, leaf blowers, generators, and wood chippers. This gasket is compatible with select models from Midwest Engine, Briggs & Stratton, Craftsman, Toro, and Simplicity. It is sold individually and is a genuine OEM replacement sourced from the manufacturer.

The carburetor is used to ensure air and fuel mix together in the correct amounts before being ignited in the cylinder so the engine runs properly. If the engine is refusing to run even when the fuel tank is full of gasoline, the carburetor may be malfunctioning. It can be tested directly to determine whether a repair or replacement is needed. Take the air filter out and add a small amount of fuel to the carburetor. Use the starter rope to see whether the engine turns on. If it does but then dies, this indicates the carburetor should be repaired or replaced. This is a genuine OEM replacement component that is directly sourced from the manufacturer. The carburetor float is housed in the carburetor and is used to help control the fuel flow. It adjusts the needle valve and ensures that the appropriate amount of fuel reaches the carburetor bowl. This helps provide the right mixture of air and gasoline for the engine to operate at optimal performance. Over time, the float can become worn or detached, or the pin could come loose. When this happens, the flow is affected, and the engine will not operate correctly. If the float isn't working correctly on a lawnmower or another small engine, it might be time for a replacement. This replacement part is a genuine OEM product designed to be used with many Briggs & Stratton engines, including lawnmowers, pressure washers, generators, and other lawn and outdoor equipment engines. It is sold as a single unit with the metal cotter pin included. There are more than 150 compatible machines that this unit will work with. If your lawnmower isn’t working as it should or if the float has come loose and can't control the flow appropriately, this OEM replacement can get things back in working order.

The carburetor has a float valve to control the flow of fuel from the tank to the reservoir. A float valve has three main components - a float, seat, and a needle. When there is adequate fuel level in the carburetor, the float will rise, prompting the needle to close against its seat and prevent overflowing. If the float valve is malfunctioning, it may overflow the carburetor. In some cases, it doesn't provide ample fuel into the carburetor. If you suspect that the needle and seat are faulty, don't waste another moment. Over time, a defective needle and seat can lead to more expensive repairs like a leaking carburetor and even an engine misfiring. For a genuine OEM replacement, get this Midwest Engine 398188 Needle & Seat Kit. Please take note that the Midwest Engine 398188 Needle & Seat Kit only comes with the needle and seat. If you also need a genuine Midwest Engine float replacement, you will need to purchase it separately.

A carburetor on a lawn or garden appliance often has a float-feed chamber or bowl mounted on one side. This is a miniature fuel tank that takes a trickle feed from the main fuel supply. A carburetor is unable to use fuel that is under pressure, so the float chamber keeps everything at atmospheric pressure. When any sort of dirt or debris enters the fuel and air passages, it can cause an array of issues. The debris may enter due to shrinkage of O-rings and gaskets, and that is why a replacement gasket is essential. A carburetor screwdriver is essential when making this repair. Replacing it involves removing several pieces of the carburetor assembly, including a float assembly, inlet needle valve, and the old fuel bowl gasket itself. This authentic replacement carburetor bowl gasket will fit a small engine carburetor bowl on wood chippers, leaf blowers, pressure washers, tillers, snowblowers, lawnmowers, and small engines. It is compatible with Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Simplicity, Lawn-Boy, Cub Cadet, and Snapper, among others.

This is a fuel line replacement intended to keep a lawnmower's engine running smoothly. It is long enough to make a couple of fuel lines, just cut the fuel line to the desired length and keep the rest as a spare. When a mower doesn't start easily or performs poorly when running, the fuel delivery system may have a problem and will need repair. The fuel line that supplies gas from the tank to the carburetor may be cracked or broken. When this occurs, it is best to replace the fuel line before it becomes a flammable hazard. This is an OEM replacement fuel line sourced from the manufacturer and is sold individually. This replacement part is compatible with different Briggs & Stratton mowers. Remember to use work gloves and drain the gas tank before the installation of this part.

This screw is designed by Briggs & Stratton as a mounting screw to attach the carburetor onto the engine body so the two can work in tandem. Over time, these screws can become damaged or broken, which requires replacement. A visual inspection of the carburetor mounting screws can help determine whether they need to be replaced. Cleaning the screws can make it easier to see if the screw has been broken or damaged in any way. In some cases, these screws can also become loose, which also indicates a replacement is required. Remove the old screw using the appropriate screwdriver and install the new screw before running the engine again. This is a genuine OEM replacement part directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. This screw is designed for use with Briggs & Stratton, Simplicity, Toro, and Cub Cadet lawnmowers, chipper shredders, leaf blowers, snowblowers, tillers, generators, and lawn tractors. A hex screwdriver and other tools may be needed to make a repair.

A hose clamp serves the basic purpose of holding together two connecting hoses. This is a crucial job in an engine. Since there are so many connecting tubes and hoses transferring oil and fuel within an engine, a leak could prove catastrophic. It could not only cause the engine to malfunction but could also become a fire hazard. Replacing a hose clamp is an easy job, though the exact process will depend on where the connection is located. A pair of pliers may be needed. This is a genuine OEM replacement part and will work with a wide range of appliances, such as pressure washers, engines, generators, tractors, mowers, blowers, shredders, and chippers from Murray, Toro, Briggs & Stratton, Snapper, MTD, Lawn-Boy, or Simplicity. This part ships individually.

This is a genuine replacement fuel tank cap for select Briggs & Stratton engines. It seals the fuel tank to keep the fuel contained and also to create the pressure required to run the fuel system and lead to the combustion process. The fuel cap screws onto the fuel tank and can become worn over time. The cap can also become damaged due to an impact or another incident. In some cases, the cap can get lost or the threads can break or strip entirely. A replacement cap like this one can be the solution for compatible models. This OEM fuel tank cap is manufactured to specific standards by Briggs & Stratton and will fit select models of vertical and industrial engines, including 3.5, 5, 7, 9, and 12.5 HP models. It can also be used on select Toro, Murray, Simplicity, and Snapper models that have a Biggs & Stratton engine and/or fuel tank. The non-vented cap ensures appropriate sealing and fuel containment, and it is made of durable composite plastic material. This fuel tank cap is sold individually. No tools are required to replace this part.

A carburetor float bowl is an essential part of every carburetor because it controls the flow of gasoline from the fuel tank to the motor. Whether because of gasoline impurities or lots of use, the interior pieces of small engines may fail and need to be rebuilt. For that purpose, the float bowl comes with the three required gaskets. Replacing the float bowl in a Briggs & Stratton carburetor is a simple process. First, detach the carburetor from the engine, then removing the screw from the top of the carburetor housing. Replace the large gasket with the new one, making sure that it fits properly and will seal. Then set the new float bowl down onto the gasket. Next, take the small gasket and place it atop the float bowl, screwing the bolt onto the float bowl. Then it’s time to reattach the carburetor to the Briggs & Stratton engine. This OEM assembly is a factory-built replacement for the original parts it replaces. It is individually packaged and sold separately. Mowers, chippers, generators, blowers, snowblowers, tillers, and other small engines using a Briggs & Stratton engine can use this replacement kit. Among compatible brands are Craftsman, Snapper, Simplicity, Toro, Cub Cadet, and Lawn boy.
