When combined correctly, the air/fuel mixture is combusted using a spark from the spark plug, which propels the pistons up, turning the crankshaft and operating the engine. Make sure the spark plug wire has been removed. The airbox and filter must also be removed. The fuel line should be removed from the carburetor and crimped shut. Remove the bolts holding the carburetor in place and then remove the old carb. Replace it with the new one and reassemble the engine by following the steps above in reverse order.
