Planetary (Gear Assembly)

This planetary gear assembly transfers motor torque through the transmission to drive the agitator/drum, restoring proper mechanical motion. Replaces a worn or damaged planetary to reduce grinding, slipping, or no-agitation symptoms and improve drivetrain reliability. What it does:

  • Meshes with the transmission sun gear to convert motor rotation into the correct output for the agitator/drum
  • Restores normal agitation/rotation when original gears are worn, broken, or skipping
  • Helps eliminate grinding, clunking, or intermittent movement caused by damaged internal gears
  • Works as a direct-fit replacement when the original planetary gear has failed

  • Refer to the appliance's service manual or exploded parts diagram for correct disassembly and reassembly steps
